Conversions is the only centre in Western Australia converting American
Chevrolet and GMC trucks from left to right-hand drive under the
Federal Government's Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS). The Chevrolet Conversion Centre is a small, Quality Assured family business, run and managed by Ken Quinn and James Wallington. They have amounted considerable experience in vehicle conversions, dating back to the centre's establishment in 1991. Having seen others come and go, they are considered leaders in the industry. Only a small number of vehicles are converted by the centre, about 12 annually or 1 per month. This means that sufficient time is taken to ensure the conversion is completed correctly and that the finished product is as close to a mirror image conversion as possible. In fact, the completed vehicle looks and drives like a production right-hand drive vehicle. The emphasis is therefore not on creating a "production line" of vehicles, but of a quality job that will last. The Centre is 100% Australian owned and operated and is not a subsidiary of or affiliated with General Motors or Dodge corporation. Located in the Mundaring Trade Centre, just off Great Eastern Highway, about 45 minutes drive from Perth. |
